Between 1948 and 1950 several African chiefs visited the East Riding of Yorkshire to study local government and the region’s agricultural practices. While some groups toured Hull and the surrounding areas, others journeyed to Bridlington, Beverley and Market Weighton to gain a better knowledge of the farming industry.
It would be fantastic to learn more about these men and their activities. If you have any further information that could help us with their stories, please click the contact us button below and get in touch!
