Benjamin T. Dabra

Benjamin T. Dabra, also known as Ben, was born in Ghana in 1976.
He studied at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) between 1993 and 1998 where he gained a BSc in Land Economy with First Class Honours. After this he moved to the UK to continue his studies and in 2000 graduated from the University of Hull with an M.sc in Economics (Public Policy). Six years later, Mr. Dabra obtained another BSc in Financial Services from the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology. In 2014, he completed a curriculum on Executive Leadership Programme, Leading across Boundaries from the University of Oxford - Said Business School.

He has enjoyed a successful banking career in Africa working for Barclays for over seven years serving initially as the Managing Director of Outfit of Barclays Bank PLC from November 1, 2008. He has vast experience in the areas of Risk, Credit, and Leadership. He served as Managing Director of Barclays Bank of Ghana Ltd., leading it to a remarkable turnaround from being loss making to the most profitable Bank in the country within three years. He subsequently also served as Country Credit Director for Barclays Kenya. Mr. Dabra has also served as the Director of Credit of Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC. He served as the Regional Credit Director in West Africa for Standard Bank of South Africa and has been a Non-Executive Director at Standard Chartered Bank Kenya Limited since May 28, 2015.
More recently, he was appointed Managing Director at Finance Bank Zambia Limited on July 6, 2016.
